Our Journey Making Discoveries Through Science
We are the Biotech Association of Santa Monica College exploring the world of biotechnology through student initiatives and strengthening the learning experience with science based activities. Our work aims to provide resources for professional growth and development, and preparing passionate STEM students for career opportunities within the biotechnology industry. We search to gather certified experts from different areas within the field to share their experiences leading to their career and guide students to help find the right path forward, announce latest developments within the biotech industry, and internship or volunteer opportunities for the next generation of biotechs.
Our Story
We began the Biotech Association wanting to encourage more individuals to join us in discovering where biotechnology will lead to in the future. Our team is a group of promising students at Santa Monica College inspired by biotechnology and the incredible impact it has on improving the quality of life from integrating advance engineer technologies with biological life science. Our team of leaders are a devoted all-inclusive diverse network of STEM academic undergraduates motivated by science and ready to introduce biotechnology to the next fleet of professionals.
Our Mission
We are determined to bring more opportunities to our members to encourage their pursuit for their dream career in biotechnology. Our team seeks to include new information, skill building workshops, and resources that our members will benefit from to improve their professional growth and development. We are committed to ushering an educational experience that is rewarding for our members and potential members to guide them as they strive toward reaching their goals!
