Andrew Liu

My name is Andrew Liu, and I am a non-traditional student with the goal of attending graduate school in microbiology or biotechnology. In 2009 I earned a Bachelors of Science in Ecology and Evolution but wound up finding work in real estate management. During the pandemic I lost two family friends and people encouraged me to return to biology in either healthcare or STEM. Initially I was pursuing nursing as a second career but I have now switched to pursue STEM to research biomedical therapeutics and their associated technologies. Outside of academics I enjoy film, combat sports and hanging out with my dog.
