Ashley Moran

My name is Ashley Moran I’m currently in the pursuit of a career in Marine Biology with a minor in Biotechnology at SMC. Some of the opportunities that I’ve had in the past with the Marine Industry have led me to explore different areas, which motivate me to have a deeper interest in biotechnology. One of my current projects is researching about the different fish and shellfish characteristics whose ecosystem is in the Pacific Ocean and combine this knowledge with the previously acquired during my school time and the other educational experiences I’ve had during my volunteering at aquariums to be able to build enough knowledge and understanding to therefore boost production and enhance quality in this living beings mentioned before.  I believe biotechnology is a continuous revolution that allows us to expand our endeavors and with this I’m thrilled to make aquaculture biotechnology a big part of my journey.

Some of the activities I like to do outside of school are free style painting and drawing, hiking, reading lifestyle or sci-fi books, and exercising outdoors. One of the hobbies I love the most is to watch movies and documentaries with friends and family.
